To meet the business, professional and advocacy needs of its members and to promote and protect private property rights.
Our History
In the latter part of 2015 we changed our name from the Warren County Association of REALTORS®, Inc. to “Southern Adirondack REALTORS®” to better represent the broadening geography of where our member REALTORS® and Affiliate Member businesses are located and with formal inclusion of the northern half of Washington County. In 2019 we became shareholders in a new regional MLS, Global MLS serving from the Capital district through the southern Adirondack region.
Our office is located at 296 Bay Road in the town of Queensbury, Warren County, in Upstate New York and was originally formed in 1959 as the Glens Falls Board of REALTORS®. We also host a satellite office of the regional Global MLS at our Bay Road location.

In 1974, the Glens Falls Board of REALTORS® was incorporated and then in the early 1980s, the Tri-County Multiple Listing Service was formed. It started in a basement of a commercial building located on East Washington Street, Glens Falls and later relocated to 318B Ridge Street, Glens Falls.
In the early 80s when the Multiple Listing Service was formed it consisted of 42 REALTORS® members and 4 Affiliate members which grew to include over 600 members in 2019.
In 1988, the Glens Falls Board of REALTORS®, Inc. and the Tri-County Multiple Listing Service merged to form the Greater Glens Falls and Warren County Board of REALTORS®.
In 1990, they purchased a commercial building located on 269 Bay Road (now 296) and changed the name to the Warren County Association of REALTORS®, Inc.
In 2006, the Association and its Multiple Listing Service separated and became two separate entities then known as the Warren County Association of REALTORS®, Inc. and the Warren County Multiple Listing Service, Inc.
In 2016, we expanded our NAR jurisdiction to include the northern half of Washington County, NY (from the town of Argyle and points north to the Essex County border) nearly doubling our association service area.
In 2019, after two years of negotiations- SAR worked in conjunction with the Capital Region Association of REALTORS® to launch a new stand alone corporation called GLOBAL MLS bringing together just the MLS side of operations of both associations. Both local real estate associations continue to operate independently in their respective geographies bringing their REALTOR® and AFFILIATE members education, advocacy, consumer outreach, networking, insurance programs and other tangible professional development and community outreach programs. REALTOR® members of either association utilize the Global MLS platform for real estate listing activity.
In the later half of 2019, we were also granted the expansion of our jurisdiction geography by the National Association of REALTORS to include the towns of Moreau, Hadley and Corinth and the Villages of South Glens Falls and Corinth in Saratoga County into our existing SAR service area jurisdiction. Our official jurisdiction now extends into 3 NY counties.
Today the Southern Adirondack REALTORS®, Inc. consists of over 525 REALTOR® Members and over 60 Affiliate members and continues to grow and flourish serving members and consumers in the North Country and beyond. Our core service area where members are active continues to be Warren County, northern Washington and Saratoga Counties and southern Essex County.
