In New York state, the economic impact of a typical home sale generates an average of $101,200 in related activity. This includes income generated from real estate industries like insurance and mortgage lending, expenditures related to home purchases such as furnishings or remodeling, the re-circulation of income into other sectors of the local economy, and the inducement of additional home construction due to demand.
